Intern Diary: Madi

While looking up different PR agencies my freshman year of college, I came across JMG. After doing some more research on the agency and Jenna, I fell in love with everything about JMG. Little did I know, 3 years later I would be applying for and receiving an internship from my dream agency. I was so nervous going into the interview process but Jenna immediately made me feel so comfortable and welcomed that all my nerves left. Later that week, I was offered the position and I immediately knew this was going to be an amazing semester.

I was fully prepared to log on my first day and be completely lost but the team did such a good job of training us on day one that I was so excited to dive right in. This was my first PR internship so I was eager to finally do all of the things I had been learning about in school for the past few years. My Account Executive, Marisa, helped guide me through some of my first tasks and was always there to answer all of my questions no matter how ridiculous they might have been. Everyone at JMG was so welcoming and they created a very positive environment for us all to learn. I was never scared to ask for help or admit when I was confused.

I have loved every minute of my past few months at JMG, from our afternoon sip the tea meetings to building out media lists. As sad as it is that my time here is coming to an end, I am so thankful to the entire team for preparing me for the next chapter in my career. Thank you Jenna for giving me this amazing opportunity and Marisa for being there for me through every step of the process. This internship was the perfect way to wrap up my college experience!
