As my time as a JMG Public Relations intern comes to an end, I am so thankful for everything I have learned over the past few months. From researching different clients to creating Instagram posts and everything in between, JMG has taught me incredible ideas and things that I will carry with me into my career in public relations. Not only have I gained an endless amount of professional experience but I have become confident that public relations is the right field for me. Being able to have the opportunity to experience a public relations firm first hand has been invaluable and will be something I am always grateful for.

One of my favorite things about being an intern with JMG has been that no day is the same. I’ve absolutely loved going to meet with clients, working on different projects and exploring New York City while doing it. I’ve enjoyed completing all the different tasks I have been given, while receiving advice and help along the way.

Compared to my previous PR internships, this one has completely blown me away. I have felt so included in JMG and the daily tasks of the office. I have contributed to JMG because I have had the opportunity to be involved. The JMG team always went above and beyond to make me feel like I was a part of everything going on and that I was involved in the work of the firm. Working alongside, Jenna and Cristen has been the best part of being at the agency.

Some take always from my time here at JMG include:

Always ask questions. The team at JMG is so open and welcoming. I always felt so comfortable asking questions about specific things related to JMG or even things about the public relations industry in general. What I have learned here at JMG will carry me into my next steps in the PR industry.

- Be confident. I have been able to use what I have learned in the past four years at the University of Scranton and use it in the real work world.

Be open to new experiences. Interning at JMG has opened my eyes to the world of PR. Through this, I have been able to gain an immense amount of skills and knowledge.

Be present. I have enjoyed every second here at JMG and have wanted to live in the moment and absorb everything I have been doing and everything that has been going on in the Big Apple around me. It is truly important to listen to what your boss or a client wants or needs you to do.

After interning at JMG-PR, I definitely see myself perusing a career in public relations. I leave JMG feeling confident in myself and in my ability to become a PR professional. Reflecting on my time here at JMG-PR, I feel extremely prepared to take my next step in the PR world.

Thank you JMG Public Relations for the very best internship.

Jenna B.
